The point is not the speed at which one customizes their character, but rather what there is to do in the world beyond character customization. The trend is definitely the eq bias of level-up and seek phat lewtz, both basically character customizations. Beyond that, there’s not much of a game. Thus debating skill vs levels is still thinking too narrowly.
